CREDITS & LINER NOTES:

Here, have a sip of this audio cocktail, distilled from properly aged barrels of strange brew, 30 minutes taken from 30 years.

Kicking off this concoction are four energy-charged shots: Armadillo Man, Clothesline Song, Calico Cat, Full Circle, recorded at the Dam Café on Lake Travis, on my birthday August 1991, a year after Leslie and I settled in Austin. Scott Beckwith,
my luthier pal, played bass.

Home on the Range is a rousing highlight of our Settles Hotel concert in November 2013, with Sally Townes, Leslie Stricklan, Butch Hause and Sarah Lincoln. The "Ranger" recorded this...a pretty cool trick while playing bass at the same time!

Turning 21 Twice from a 1993 live set at the Saxon Pub, ATX, recorded by Richard Vannoy, is dedicated to my Uncle Jimmy Rosser.

Merry Little Christmas is a 2008 holiday treat from our annual holiday song circle in our Front Room. George Coyne of Parrot Tracks recorded this one, which I’ve always referred to as the “eggnog outtake.”

Mesa Verde Mama & Larry Standard Time are from a 1997 interview with John Aeilli, longtime host of Eklekticos on KUT-FM in Austin.

Texas is a rare take from KUT-FM Folkways, hosted by David Obermanin 1993 while Ann Richards was still governor of the Lone Star State. Larry Rothwell played the melody on the second guitar.

Your Hiding Place was recorded during the New Louisiana Hayride stage show, broadcast live on KWKH RADIO on a swinging saturday night in Bossier City, Louisiana. Randy Cornor played that amazing guitar solo, with Jim Unger on fiddle. I hosted and produced this late 1980s brief reincarnation, before hosting the Ark-La-Tex Roundup in Shreveport.
